At Miami State School we support healthy eating.
Our tuckshop - Miami munch stop - provides a variety of reasonably priced, nutritious food and drinks, with many o them being prepared on site. Our menu the tuckshop menu (PDF, 1301 has vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options identified on our menu.
The menu follows the guidelines from "Smart Choices - Healthy Food and Drink Supply Strategy for Queensland Schools."
Miami Café
Our Miami Café is open to all teachers and parents from 7.30am every week day, serving Barista coffee and home baked treats. Specialty teas and biscuits are also available.
Flexischools online ordering
Our preferred method for ordering is via our online ordering system. It is easy and only takes a few minutes to register. Simply go to
Flexischools and select ‘Register Now’. You will be sent an email with further instructions on how to complete the registration. Once registered, you can start placing your orders. Orders must be in by 9.00am.

Orders will be taken by the bag system but must be handed directly to the tuckshop or placed in the classroom tuckshop box before 9:00am each day. Please write your child’s name, class, order and the break required on the front of the bag. Correct change will be wrapped and placed in your child’s bag and lunches will be distributed by the classroom teacher.
Students without lunch
Students with no lunch will sent to the office and parents called to arrange an order and payment via phone.

Would you like to join us in the kitchen?
This involves a morning for only a few hours from after drop-off (approx. 8.30am) through until 11.45am and involves checking off students’ orders, preparing food, serving students during first break and associated clean up. All food preparation is under the guidance of the retail team and full training is given.
With your help we can increase the menu items made on site, keep costs down and have faster serving times for students. Your children will be very excited to see you in the Tuckshop. Feel free to come in for a cuppa and lend a hand. Or if you know someone in the community who is looking to be part of something... we would love to hear from them too!
