​​​Choral programs

Junior Choir: Grades 1 and 2 students rehearse twice a week during lunch. The students perform at school concerts, eisteddfods and school assemblies. The choir is conducted by Ms Caroline Rothberg.

Senior Choir: Grades 3, 4, 5 and 6 students rehearse twice a week during lunch. The students perform at school concerts, eisteddfods and school assemblies. The choir is conducted by Ms Caroline Rothberg.​

Instrumental music

Band

Students start learning a Band instrument in year 4 and continue into years 5 and 6.  If selected, students attend a weekly lesson plus a morning or afternoon full band rehearsal to fulfill the requirements of the program.

Band rehearsals are:  Junior Band (Year 4 students or 1^st year learners) – Wednesday 3:00pm – 3:30pm in the hall.

Intermediate Band (Year 5 students or 2^nd year learners) - Thursday 3:00pm – 3:30pm in the hall

Senior Band (Year 6 students or 3^rd year learners) – Wednesday 7:45am – 8:30am in the hall.

Students receive lessons in their instrument groups and year levels on either Wednesday or Thursday.

Strings

Students are assessed for entry into the Instrumental strings program at the end of year two. Being part of the instrumental program requires a commitment to learning the instrument for the duration of primary school – strings years 3, 4, 5 and 6. 

If selected, students must attend lessons given weekly, in small groups, for 30 minutes timetabled during school time, in addition to a rehearsal to fulfill the requirements of the program.  Our strings conductor is Miss Mimi and she is at Miami Thursday and Friday.

Strings Rehearsals are:

Mozart Strings (year 3 students or 1st year learners) – Thursday 8:00 - 8:40am in the Music room.

Corelli strings (year 4 students or 2nd year learners) - Thursday 2:50 - 3:35pm in the Music room.

Vivaldi Strings (Year 5 and 6 students or 3rd and 4th year learners) - Friday 7:45-8:45am in the Hall.

Students receive their lessons on either Thursday or Friday.

​Advanced students are also invited to audition for excellence group that rehearses Friday lunch.
